Who operates the site
ArtsLitCult.org is operated by CayLoco. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@artlitcult.org. The web host and service providers process information as described below.
Information the site receives
- Basic visit and server information: the hosting environment may log your IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser details, and error or security events.
- Search and location information: searches may include the city, state, or coordinates you submit. If you choose “Me,” your browser asks permission and sends your approximate device coordinates to find nearby listings. The site saves a successful location preference in your browser so it can be reused; you can clear it in your browser settings.
- Travel planner information: if you create an account, the site stores your email address, a password hash, and the trips, stops, dates, and preferences you save. A remember-me login token can keep you signed in for up to 30 days. Travel sessions and the saved city/state preference also use essential cookies.
- Venue suggestions: when you submit a venue, the site stores the organization details and event/calendar URL you provide so it can review and add the listing.
- Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, the self-hosted service records page views and link activity, including page title and URL, referrer, browser/device information, and request data such as IP address. Analytics are not started before you accept.
How information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the site, find nearby events and places, save your trips, process venue suggestions, understand site usage when you opt in to analytics, and respond to privacy or support requests. Location is used to provide nearby results and travel planning features.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential storage supports travel sessions, sign-in, and saved search preferences. Analytics is optional and starts only after you choose “Accept analytics.” You can change that choice at any time using . See the Cookie notice for the storage items and their purposes.
Sharing and service providers
ArtsLitCult does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The site relies on its hosting provider and self-hosted analytics. Map features may contact OpenStreetMap services for map tiles, geocoding, or routing; map links can open Google Maps or Apple Maps. The site also loads web fonts from Google Fonts on some pages. Those providers receive the information needed to make the requested connection and have their own privacy practices.
When you create a share link for a trip, anyone who has that link can view the shared itinerary. Do not include information in a shared trip that you do not want link recipients to see.
Retention and your choices
Saved account and trip information remains until it is deleted or a deletion request is handled. The site currently does not provide a self-service account deletion control. Browser storage remains until you clear it or change your preferences. Remember-me tokens expire after 30 days. Server-log and analytics retention are controlled by the hosting and settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time from Cookie settings. To make a privacy request, email privacy@artlitcult.org.
Security and changes
The site uses account authentication and security measures intended to protect stored information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. This notice may be updated when site features or data practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
